074 - Review : Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa

Today I went to The Mines to watch Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa. So far the seats are almost full. I'm lucky I manage to get the middle row seat for best video and audio experience. So what is my verdict?
The cinematography is awesome, the use of camera filters and color are just astounding. The background story is great, it really show what our race is capable of and how epic and great this "Golden Peninsular" is. The cast are excellent; the fighting scene especially is filled with action and gruesome horror, just like watching a real battle. The props are real, the ship, the background buildings and clothing show the cultural of specific Chinese, Indian, Romans and Natives. 

However there’s a lot of mishaps and confusion when i watch it. For example, some of the scene I can't even recognize either it is day or night. Also there are some goofs like the chains on Merong while he was fighting Sunder. Also the plots are sometimes very ridiculous and also illogic I felt I was watching a fairy tale (mind you the producer said to make the story looked logic, that’s why they turned Garuda the big bird into Garuda the pirate). Also the most irritating of all, there's a lot of humor that’s just out of place. Hey, THIS IS AN EPIC FILM, NOT COMEDY. You can add some humor but there must be a limit to it.

SSo far I’m proud with this film, but I’m not moved by it(the tingling sensation when you came out of the cinema that u feel like can be the protagonist itself).

So if assumed Puteri Gunung Ledang is 5 stars, this movie is a 4.

PS: I love Ummi Nazeera in this film, very pretty, woot!!

008 - Movie of the Week

Last Friday I was a bit bored and got nothing to do while waiting for berbuka. I assure u the most hard thing to do on Ramadhan is to do nothing because u will end up getting hungry. That's how I end up, so I grab my car keys and went to the Mines for whatever is there, I wasn't planning for a movie actually. When I got there I just found out that this movie is out! So I quickly bought the ticket(no s, yeah i saw it alone).
Overall this movie is freaking funny, yeah watching those stupid Edward and Jacob lovers fight each other with nail clubs, axes and spades really gets into me. Then the plot just quickly follows the run through Twilight's Twilight and New Moon. Will a lot of spin-offs and major hole exposure to both the movies. Although all the stupid stuffs just seems doesn't make sense, but ironically, it does, in literal sense. Thus the movie turns out to be more like Scary Movie and its precedences.
If u say that this movie is for Twilight haters, that is TOTALLY WRONG. In fact if u don't either read the books or watch Twilight Movies before, u won't understand a lot of its humor and it'll turn out boring.
My advice is for those who want to see this movie, do revise Twilight and New Moon so that all it's humor will come to sense and clear. Compulsory.

006 - Movie of the Day

I want u guys to look at today's date. Haha, a coincidence isn't it? Well I suggest u look up this movie and watch it for berbuka, and watch as your appetite loses over and couldn't eat for the day. hahaha. I'm not much of a thriller fan, I hate ghost stories and I hate shocking moment. For this movie there's a quite shock and terror in it but it gonna be boring to watch the second time. Now I wonder if there's a cult out there who is practicing something evil for today, Friday the 13th.
